Orlando Will Host The Invictus Games 2016

The The Invictus Games Foundation recently announced that the 2016 Invictus Games will take place in Orlando at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Prince Harry brought the games to the UK following an inspirational visit to USA Warrior Games in 2013. The Invictus Games is one of Harry’s chief charitable projects, and his most successful so far. The inaugural Invictus Games in London 2014 used the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women. More than 400 competitors from across the world competed in nine adaptive sports in London in the 2014 games.
“The competitors showed grit, determination and humor: an absolute refusal to be beaten or be defined by their injuries —- the Invictus spirit was born,”Prince Harry said in a video.
The Invictus Games Foundation has been set up to develop this legacy, manage the process of selecting the hosts of future games and oversee their delivery. Now, Orlando has been honored to host in 2016.
