It’s Pumpkin Patch Time in Orlando

Florida is known for its warm weather, so we locals have to experience the joys of fall with pumpkin spice lattes, gingerbread cookies, and pumpkin patches in lieu of the changed in temperatures and leaves!  Many of our guests at the Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista enjoy visiting Orlando for its theme parks but also enjoy our seasonal events and activities and that is why we decided to share with you our favorite pumpkin patches in Orlando. Visiting a Pumpkin Patch with the family is a great opportunity to take fabulous pictures and make long-lasting memories together. So if you are vacationing with us at the Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista and would like to know where to go for the best pumpkin picking experience, here are the places we suggest:

 

Green Meadows Farm

They have a petting farm, hay rides, pony rides, and a Spooky Haunted House.  Plus everyone gets to take a free pumpkin home! Open every day from October 1 to November 6, 2016. Address: 1368 South Poinciana Blvd. Kissimmee, FL 34746.

 

St. John Pumpkin Patch– They have hundreds of pumpkins on display and several family-friendly activities like the Family Fun Day and the Trunk or Treat shown, pictured below. It’s the perfect place to take your family holiday picture, because their display is always full and beautiful. Open October 2-31. Address: 1600 S Orlando Ave.  Winter Park, FL 32789.

Sanlando Pumpkin Patch– They have beautiful orange, white, blue/green pumpkins of many different sizes and shapes. They also have hay, corn stalks and Indian corn that’ll make amazing backgrounds. The smallest pumpkins start at $1.00 and the prices vary by size up to $38. Located on the corner of West State Road 434 and Raymond Avenue in Longwood, Florida.  To park please access the parking lot off of Carlton Street.
