Spring Time in Orlando

Spring is finally here and we are overjoyed, as this is truly one of the best times to visit Orlando! If you are planning a visit to stay with us at the Hawthorn Suite Lake Buena Vista in Orlando this spring, here is what you can expect:

Perfect weather, which means all the pool time you can possibly want! This is truly the time of the year where the weather is the most beautiful in Orlando. It usually stops being cold around March, since we don’t have much of a winter but it is also not as hot as summers. So, bring your sunscreen but there is no need to be afraid of the sunshine quite yet. There’s usually a nice breeze in the evenings and you can get by packing just one or two light jackets for your whole entire trip!

The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will run until May 28, 2018! It’s one of the most bright times to visit Epcot and be able to take unique pictures with some of the topiaries that are perfectly crafted after your favorite Disney characters! The whole park becomes overwhelmed with colorful flowers that are a treat to the eye!

The Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida goes until April 7, so hurry up to catch this yearly event. Universal Studios brings the best out of Mardi Gras, but with a family-friendly twist that is sure to please everyone in your party – young or old! There are tons of delicious food options that are New Orleans inspired, a fun seasonal parade and of course, many, many beads!

If you want to experience a more local festival, The Fringe Festival will happen from Tuesday, May 15th through Monday, May 28th this year! This is a festival that has been in Orlando for over 25 years and is definitely a favorite among the locals! This artsy and creative festival blends theater, visual arts and delicious foods and drinks that are sold by a variety of vendors in the festival’s lawn.

This is not the official “most wonderful time of the year,” since Christmas time has claimed that title long ago for its amazing holiday decorations and overall vibe, but spring should certainly be a good second!
