Enjoy Disney After Hours Boo Bash!

 August 4, 2021

August is officially here, and although we still have a few more weeks of summer to enjoy, Walt Disney World®  Resort, is getting the fall holiday celebrations started early with Disney After Hours Boo Bash! This special 3-hour Halloween event runs from August 10th through October 31st on select nights and will be filled with amazing experiences including themed Cavalcades, Character Sightings, trick or treating, themed treats and more.

There are definitely some perks to enjoy when reserving your spot for the event. When you purchase your ticket, you are reserving it for a specific date. This means that you will not need to purchase an additional theme park ticket or make a theme park reservation. Additionally, ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom®  Park as early as 7:00 pm on your ticket date. From August 10 through September 5th, the event will take place from 9:30 pm -12:30 am. From September 7th through October 31st, the event will take place from 9:00 pm through midnight.

Unforgettable Halloween Cavalcades

Be sure to catch a total of three Halloween Cavalcades this year that will be parading through the park during the event:

  • Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade – Watch Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and other Disney favorites in their best Halloween costumes.
  • Disney Villain Halloween Cavalcade – Be careful, there are villains nearby! When you see this cavalcade, you’ll get to watch Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog, Queen of Hearts, and Jafar!
  • Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade – Watch the Pumpkin King himself Jack Skellington along with Sally and Oogie Boogie as they parade through the park.

Finally, the biggest appearance of them all will be made by Maleficent herself as she attends the Disney After Hours Boo Bash in her form of a fire-breathing dragon!

Trick-or-Treating and Fun Themed Food Offerings

You can’t attend a Halloween event without a little trick-or-treating! Visit the many treat stations throughout the park for some delicious sweets. Also, be aware that there will also be allergy-free options available.

Lastly, what’s a Disney event without the themed specialty food items!? This year, Magic Kingdom®  Park is featuring a drink and snack that will fit perfectly with the evening’s events. If you’re thirsty, try the Apple Ginger Dale Frozen Drink, which is a frozen apple cider mixed with Ginger Ale and topped with whipped cream and TWIXâ Cookie Bars. If you’re looking for a snack, then you have to try the Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake! It is a funnel cake that is topped with Oreo crumbles, purple vanilla ice cream, drizzled with green icing and topped with Halloween colored M&M’Sâ!

“Know Before You Go!”

Before you prepare for your frightful evening at the Disney After Hours Boo Bash, please be sure to know the dress code guidelines to maintain a safe environment for the little ones. Masks may only be worn for guests who are 13 years old or younger. For those who are older, be sure to dress in family-friendly costumes and also take special care that your costume does not reach or drag on the ground (i.e. full-length Princess dresses). This was our 2nd stay in this hotel. The first was in 2009. Both times the Hawthorn Suites has been immaculate, the suites are lovely, really big.
